Our mission is to educate women and children in society. We try to focus on opportunities for training at accredited institutions in the STEM fields to promote healthy economic independence. We also provide opportunities for creative and artistic endeavours.
We believe that each individual can succeed, if only, with a little help along the way. We hope that women and girls can participate in whatever career they choose without discrimination or bias.
who we are
A group of determined individuals who want to see women and children having opportunities in life. We meet throughout the year to discuss the numerous requests from Canadian not-for-profit charities.
priorities and policies
The Leacross Foundation can only grant to recognized registered charities. All organizations receiving funds are expected to issue proper documentation under the Canada Revenue Agency regulations.

We try to use a gender lens on granting in areas of education, music/arts, the environment, and healthcare.
granting
Grants are available throughout the year.
evaluation
If an organization receives a grant from the Leacross Foundation, documentation, such as annual reports, distribution summaries are expected from the organization. There is also the possibility of site visits and there are always on-going discussions with staff.
